Town of Porter... Peach Capital of Oklahoma!
In Town of Porter, we are defined less by boundaries on a map than by the sense of shared values our residents hold dear. Small town values, guided growth, preservation of historical, cultural, and natural heritage are just a few of the core principles that make Town of Porter a wonderful place to call home.
Starting January 15th the Porter Public Works Authority will be renovating the water towers on Hwy 51B near Hwy 69. Water pressure will be low so just bare with us until we get the towers finished.
Wagoner County will be issuing tickets to the owners of loose dogs around the town.
Porter Public Works is proud to announce that online bill pay is available for our customers. Just click on the box to the right where it says Payment Options. It will connect you to the correct spot to start the process of paying online.
Beginning April 11, 2018, the Fire Department will be testing the storm sirens every Wednesday at noon (weather permitting).
The town offices and water department now have separate telephone numbers. For town issues, such as Planning and Zoning, Cemetery, Fire, Police, Animal Control, and Street and Alley call (918) 483-0176. The water department number has remained the same at (918) 483-8331. If you have questions or issues concerning water or sewer call (918) 483-8331.
Effective on the August 2017 bills, there will be an increase in rates for water, sewer, and trash services. The increase is on the minimum bill. The minimum water bill will increase to $22.20 for city customers, $24.45 for rural customers, $12.00 for sewer customers, and for trash service there will be a $2.00 service fee per account.
